The Food

Here’s a sample of the variety of food on offer…while the focus is on helping fill lunchboxes (for kids and adults alike) – if your eating habits are anything like mine, they really can be breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Favourites are toasted muesli, chia puddings, baked fruit oatmeal, muffins, banana bread, sweet and savoury biscuits: (choc chip, anzacs, cheesies, oat bikkies), chocolate brownies and cupcakes (packed with veg!), muesli bar slices, cacao balls, vegetable fritters, hummus or avo/green dips, roasted veg salad, spaghetti and lentil bolognaise, butter chicken, mini meatballs (chicken,lamb or beef) and in the cooler months soups Β and broths will make an appearance such as pumpkin, minestrone, chicken & veg, lamb shank and my current favourite- Quirky Cooking’s lemon, coconut and chicken soup!

Most of these family-favourites are somewhat healthier versions of traditional recipes: with wholegrains or gluten-free options with less refined sugar, the addition of good fats for satiety (keeping us full) and lots of added veg – always trying to get the most nutritional bang for my buck!
